After introducing the Triumph Thruxton 400 at ₹2.74 lakh (ex-showroom), Triumph is gearing up to expand its 400cc lineup in India with two more new motorcycles. Both bikes will be built on the same 398cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine platform used in the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X, though each will get its own styling and tuning.
Scrambler T4 – Launch Expected in October 2025
One of the upcoming models is expected to be the Scrambler T4, likely to arrive around the festive season this year. Spy shots reveal:
- Distinctive styling with new side panels and a bench-style seat
- Block-pattern tyres for better grip
- USD front forks and 17-inch alloy wheels
- A compact windscreen
It will share its engine with the current 400cc bikes but may feature a slightly different tuning. Positioned below the Scrambler 400 X, the Scrambler T4 could be priced at around ₹2.60 lakh (ex-showroom).

400cc Bonneville – A Classic Entry
Triumph is also considering bringing the iconic Bonneville name to its 400cc range. This motorcycle is expected to carry a retro design with:
- Spoked wheels
- Chrome accents
- Minimalistic bodywork
- Twin-pod instrument cluster
- Relaxed riding posture
The Triumph 400cc Bonneville will use the same 398cc engine, likely in a different state of tune. Pricing and positioning remain uncertain—it could either be placed closer to the Royal Enfield Classic 350 for wider reach or marketed as a premium retro bike above the Speed 400, justifying the Bonneville branding.
What to Expect
With the arrival of the Scrambler T4 and the Bonneville 400, Triumph aims to strengthen its position in the mid-capacity motorcycle market in India. These additions will bring a mix of scrambler ruggedness and classic retro appeal, giving buyers more variety within the 400cc segment.
