The FASTag Annual Pass went into effect nationwide on Friday, August 15. It costs Rs 3000, which is the one-time payment required to activate the Annual Pass for your car.
The Rs 3,000 FASTag Annual Pass is good for 200 trips or one year. Only non-commercial vehicles, such as private automobiles, jeeps, and vans, are eligible for this pass. About 1.2 lakh customers purchased the FASTag Annual Pass on August 15, the first day of the pass’s activation, till 4:30 pm, and 1.24 lakh transactions were noted. Nevertheless, this annual pass will not be valid on Uttar Pradesh’s four main expressways.
These four UP expressways will not be accessible with a Fastag annual pass.
Indeed, this Annual Pass will not be valid on the Yamuna, Purvanchal, Bundelkhand, and Agra-Lucknow expressways—the four main thoroughfares in Uttar Pradesh. On these four motorways, tolls will be taken out of your regular Fastag account. These four Uttar Pradesh expressways are actually state highways run by the state government, and the Fastag Annual Pass is only valid on national highways run by the federal government. Your regular Fastag account will be debited for tolls when you travel on the state highway.

Two accounts will be made following the activation of the Fastag Annual Pass.
It would take some time for the Fastag Annual Pass to be activated after payment of Rs 3000. Two accounts will be made in the Fastag that is installed in your car once the annual pass has been enabled. The annual pass will be used for one account, and your regular Fastag account, which is currently active, will be used for the other. The toll money will be subtracted from your annual pass if it is active in your Fastag and you travel across the National Highway. In a same manner, the toll will be subtracted from your regular Fastag when you travel on the State Highway.
